Why my big family makes me happy.....

On a hay ride, there is always a little hand holding on to you...

and a little hand holding on to their little brother.....

and hot apple cider to be enjoyed together..

and happy smiles when you are having a ride with your sissy...

and a little buddy to snuggle with after the hay ride...

and a sweet 6 year old daughter that loves you so much that she dedicates her whole pumpkin to you!

tender-hearted big brothers...

that love their daddy so.....

lovely 6 year old smiles...

and a big brother to hold onto when the road gets bumpy......

and for some reason--all these kids make you appreciate the beauty in simple things like these changing leaves...
and a loving squeeze from a big boy....

and the awesomeness of spider rings....

These kids make you pause and take a look more closely.....

at the small delights that bring a smile....

and the patience and love that starts with a paint brush....

and a beautiful fall day....

that brings together siblings....

and best friends.

I look into their deep and soulful eyes....

and see the greatness that is about to emerge.....

through playfulness...

and love.....

and lots of kisses...

these girls....

and boys......

with their silly faces......

and mischievous spirits....

exude JOY....

and happiness...

and most of all.....

a bond....

that can never be broken....

For these pictures....

are the very reason....

that when people ask....

WHY...

SO....

MANY......

KIDS?????

I can honestly....

answer....

Why...

wouldn't....

I????

And then take my precious ones' hands

and happily....

go home...to thank God for bringing me these incredible blessings.....

So cherish your families...no matter how big.....no matter how small--they are what TRULY matters!!

As one of 11 brothers and sisters I'm all for BIG families...in fact yours seems quite small compared to mine growing up - ha ha - beautiful, beautiful family and children you have - bless you!!
