Thankful............

This morning--this MONDAY morning I am going to start with what I am thankful for. Thankfulness for the simple stuff---I know all you moms out there can relate..........

1) thankful that Sam slept all night
2) thankful that for this very second there is no screaming or fighting in my house (well three are at school already so that helps)
3) thankful that only ONE of the six is currently sick
4)thankful that I have coffee
5)thankful to the person who created coffee
6)thankful that the pumpkin spice latte is at Starbucks right now--and I will be getting one after I drop off Hope and Charlie
7)thankful that my wash is done for the moment
8)thankful that I have a frozen lasagna ready to pop in the oven for dinner tonight
9)thankful that all my kids are wearing matching socks today
10)thankful that I have SO much to be thankful about!

What are you thankful about today???

Leave a comment and I will send $1.00 to the Starfish foundation for every comment of thankfulness.....just because I am.... ya know...thankful!

I am thankful for my family...

I am blessed to have three great kids and a terrific husband.

We recently realized we have less time left at home with our oldest child than we have already had! YIKES!~that makes one reevaluate the priorities! We've been focusing on family fun and have been having a great time enjoying the simple things!

They now have over 100 orphans living at their children's village called Shepherd's Field. This is a great organization and God is doing many great things, for the least of the least, through them.

I am thankful for finding this blog but moreso the post - define 'special'.

I'm thankful to my wife who turned me on to adoption.

I am thankful to China for allowing us to adopt one of her children an older WC who was also SN which does not define her. She is special but not in the way SN most folks think of. She is special to me for she has added spark to our lives.

I am thankful to Taiwan for allowing us to adopt one of her sons who we home to get next spring.

I am thankful again to China for allowing us the opportunity to once again seek more children of hers.

Today we volunteered at the Tacoma Rescue Mission which serves those who are homeless or otherwise in need of support. It reiterated to me that there are wonderful people in this world who serve selflessly daily, that many need a hand and I can do more, and that I don't need to go overboard on gifts that will soon end up in the shelters used section--instead I am thankful I have some resources that I can donate new things to the mission, that I have a home and food in my belly, a wonderful husband of almost 25 years, three amazing children--2 of who are "special needs". I am just thankful for life and all who help our Father's children.
